Job Description

• Assist Laser Set up/Operator to load and unload the machine as per work instructions and specifications
• Move and stage material as required using designated material handling carts and equipment
• Complete all data entry into the computer system in a timely manner
• Perform visual inspection of product when unloading from the machine
• Correctly stack and tag all product as required
• Deburr material when necessary
• Perform clean up duties such as; organizing materials, maintaining clear walk ways free of trip hazards etc.
• Must adhere to all pertaining laser precautions and safety procedures 
• Perform other duties as assigned 
• Follow all ISO Quality and Safe Operating Procedures
• Continual performance improvement 
• Team player willing to help out in other departments as required

Qualifications

•    Experience in Machine Operation

•    General sheet metal manufacturing process knowledge 

•    Ability to perform all physical requirements for the job, including moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 lbs

•    Experience operating overhead cranes and sheet lifters is an asset

•    Good math skills are essential

•    Ability to accurately read measuring tools

•    Good communication skills with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions and procedures

•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and keep up with the demands of production schedules

•    Knowledgeable of safety rules and regulations and focused on safe working procedures

•    Must be able to complete all necessary paper work and use computer programs

•    Ability to night and afternoon shift, overtime and weekends if required

•    Knowledge of ISO procedures or similar quality standards and processes

•    Willingness to learn and be trained in the job

•    Team player willing to help in other departments as required
