CBM was founded in 1927 as the first Canadian cash register distributor. In 1946 CBM began manufacturing metal cash drawers and accessories to compliment the cash register distribution.

We are a fully integrated design and manufacturing facility with over 100 employees.

PositionHuman Resources Assistant, full time position
Job DescriptionQualifications Required:

· University Degree

· 1-2 years experience working in an HR capacity in a manufacturing environment

· Post Graduate in Human Resource Management (or working towards Certificate)

· Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, Power point; familiarity with ADP Payroll is an asset

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)

· Ability to handle a wide variety of duties

· Good judgment and strong interpersonal skills, a team player

· Knowledge of current employment legislation and practices

· Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision, focusing on critical human elements and time frames

· Ability to maintain confidentiality



Description of Position:

· Assist in recruiting of entry level positions by placing advertisements, screening resumes, performing interviews, reference checks, selection and hire

· Coordinate temporary needs when required

· Coordinate Summer Student Program

· New employee orientation program

· Responsible for attendance and vacation tracking

· Back up for payroll administration and process

· Maintain employee files and weekly system updates

· Assist with Benefit and RRSP administration  updates/changes to MDM, RBC & GRS

· Monthly remittances

· Assist in track training program to meet ISO quality standards, Health & Safety regulations and performance goals. (update job descriptions etc.)

· Involved in the Joint Health and Safety Committee (workplace inspections and meetings)

· Respond to employee inquiries

· Ongoing projects as determined by department and organizational goals

· Perform administrative tasks to support HR Manager

· Reception relief when required
