Laser Cutting

Laser Cutting is an adaptable and high speed cutting technique which allows us to accurately produce complex parts with ease. Our Trumpf laser cutting machines import data directly from CAD drawings, and use 3-axis control to easily create parts with great complexity. This also cuts down on waste as they produce less scrap and are a much more efficient way utilizing  materials than other cutting methods.

CBM's Trumpf Laser 3030 Specifications:

  • 60 X 120 Cutting Bed
  • Oxygen, nitrogen and shop air cutting

  • Max – 5/8” cold rolled steel

Our skilled and experienced team is working with the latest in laser cutting technology to provide products of superior quality, which separate us from the competition. Some benefits of laser cutting include:

Increased Accuracy & Precision

  • Computer programmed motion provides improved reliability, control, and flexibility
  • Consistently providing precision parts increases the quality of products
  • Capable of cutting intricate and complex shapes

Non-contact cutting process

  • Reduced tool wear means higher quality end products
  • Cleaner cuts and edges than with conventional tools
  • Minimizes heat affected zone (HAZ) and eliminates distortion

No Tooling

  • Increases productivity
  • Greatly simplifies the manufacturing and design process
  • Design modifications are completed faster and with ease

Quickly made prototypes

  • The Ability to turn an idea into a finished product, without lengthy and expensive setup or tooling process
  • Prototypes can be created much faster and more inexpensive than with conventional method

 Small or large run lots

  • The ability to produce small quantities allows for quick change or modification to a design, to satisfy the needs of a specific customer

Minimum lead time and fast turn-around

  • Greatly reduced setup times since laser cutting service providers can have an entire part programmed, set up, and cut out in the same time it takes to get one hole set up and punched out on a typical punch press.
  • The programming flexibility of the machine allows for the ability to quickly change designs to adapt or react to production need
